Hand tattoos have a very rich history.  Tribal clans started to use them to identify each other, originally.  Over the generations, though, they began to be used by prisoners.  Then, young boys began to get them as a way to show off how macho they were to the girls.  Soon the trend expanded so that boys began getting skulls and crosses tattooed on their arms, instead of just getting tattoos on their hands.  Even the military took to getting patriot tattoos on their hands.  Why the hands?  Well, the hands are one of the most constantly visible parts of the body.  People can always see them, so they really make a statement.

Tattoos have really gained popularity over the years and, lately, the number of singing superstars who have tattoos is growing.  That means that the fans are getting more tattoos too.  Many of them are hand tattoos.  Pop culture and tattooing culture have merged so much that now girls are getting tattoos too, although they tend to go for more cute tattoos, like seahorses and cherry blossoms.  Tattoos like those feel more feminine.

Of course, tattoos are also famous as power symbols.  Anything from demons and devils to Celtic crosses are popular.  Also, any tattoos worn by singers and tribal tattoos are very common.  Tribal tattoos come in so many designs, after all, that there’s something for everybody.  No two are ever exactly alike.  So, no matter which hand and fist tattoos you get, you’re sure to make everyone sit up and take notice of your unique style.
